Welcome to episode 37th of Dreams Inspire Reality Podcast!

Many people start businesses thinking that making and selling products and having a return on investment is enough. There are so many things you need to consider in building a strong business. There are many competitors out there who may have the same product idea as you or worse who might want to steal your creative ideas. Then the question comes up. How do I protect my product ideas, brand and what are my legal rights?

On this new episode of the Dreams Inspire Reality Podcast, we have another amazing guest, Raven Willis. Raven is a business attorney located in Keller, TX and has over 18 years of experience in negotiating, writing, managing, and reviewing over $2 billion in complex business contracts. She specializes in trademarks, crafting written agreements for established businesses, and monitoring and enforcing high-value contracts.

She shares the number one mistake that entrepreneurs make; the importance of registering your trademarks and the negatives of not doing so; and the top three contracts that a business should have.

Moreover, Raven gives advice for entrepreneurs on how to protect their business. Likewise, she gives a recommendation for people and businesses who can't afford to hire a lawyer. “You have to understand what it is that you're signing for, read it thoroughly, and if you don't understand Google it”. Says Raven. To her, the greatest business win is getting several clients that come back because they were happy and she's doing a good job.

“In the long run, your brand trademark can be worth more than the physical assets of your company.”

Thank you so much for listening.

Welcome to episode 36th of Dreams Inspire Reality Podcast!

Balancing your business career and your personal life is not easy. Both require much-needed attention and care. However, with our latest guests, they set the business apart from their personal life. They managed to run a successful entrepreneurial journey and a healthy husband and wife relationship.

On this episode of the Dreams Inspire Reality Podcast, we two remarkable guests, power couple Heather and Dino Cummings. Who are the Founders and Creator of Curlkit LLC. It is one of the largest Natural Hair Subscription Services for multi-cultural women with curly hair in America. Since in 2012, CurlKit has featured over 300 brands and has been instrumental in helping many small businesses get exposure to the natural hair community.

Heather and Dino share all the secrets and tips of being successful entrepreneurs. They discuss how they started their subscription-based company. Heather discovered there was a void in the marketplace as far as healthy natural hair products were concerned. Upon noticing this void, the couple decided to take a plunge and start their subscription service for curly hair types. Their aim was to provide products for women who were looking for healthier options to maintain their naturally curly hair texture. Along with hair products, they have provided maintenance and styling information to help their customers' transition and grow healthy hair.

Being a pioneer means investing a ton of effort to learning everything since there was very little information out there. They've encountered a lot of bumps and bruises along the way, but they're persistent. They found their market and the target audience. It took them about three to six months to really start to gain traction. They started from 75 boxes a month to doubling every month thereafter for the first year. Currently, they ship out 12,000 to 13,000 boxes per month.

The couple now lives the life they didn't expect

Thank you so much for listening.

She’s sharing all my insider secrets with people who have a dream, an idea, and courage but just need some help getting the product from concept to production.

Melody shares tons and tons of information that will help entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs to make their idea into finish products. She started as a distributor in college selling products like supplements and water bottle but made the mistake of not ultimately owning the rights to the brand. Then, her family got her into the manufacturing business and she’s been there for many years helping others create their skincare line. Melody found herself gifted and skilled in helping people create brands. Besides, Melody started her business as a blog talking about the industry after her observation that no one talked about how to create products. Her first product was an eBook, “How to Create a Skin Care Line?”.

She emphasized that success is not complicated. There's a tremendous amount of roadmaps that are out there. It's just how you use the resources, knowing the process and executing your actions. Nothing about entrepreneurship is overnight. People should always have patience.

Time does not wait. If you can't do the big vision, do the one thing right now. Don't think you're too old or too young. Just try it. Don't be afraid to fail!

Welcome to Episode 32 of Dreams Inspire Reality Podcast! LIVE RECORDING

Hey Guys! This is my second solo episode for this month. I'm so excited to share all about 'PITCHING'.

What is pitching? How to win non-equity funding to scale your business? Pitching is the process where you can win cash for your business. There are various organizations or entities out there that hold pitch competition and you can easily go into. Why do you need to pitch your business? There are so many reasons like you needed funding to launch your business or you need to level up your business and etc. Just be clear and concise with your concept to take home the bacon. However, when you're in a pitching event, do not be just focus on winning because you'll miss other opportunities. Get to know the people in the room. Build a network and connections with them. You never know who they may know that will get you to the next level. It's a win-win situation. If you lose still there's a room for growth after the competition where you can build relationships and you can genuinely benefit each other. The key is networking so it's very important to build a relationship.

Additionally, be an expert on your product. No one knows your product, but you. Know the whole thing about your product and convince the judges that your product is excellent. Also, don't pay anybody to pitch your product. Asking money from you to enter an event is a red flag.

Learn more about the things to consider when you're pitching your business; how to find and join pitch competition; some stuff that judges looking for in a pitch competition; and tips to win pitching competition.

Start now, not tomorrow and enjoy the process while it lasts. Pitching as much as possible!

Thank you so much for listening.
